Video Games

As I sit here listening to my wonderful husband play his new video game he got for Christmas I really want to go throw the whole thing out the window. It is so frustrating for me. I know he works hard all day and he wants to come home and unwind but seriously? His love for this mind numbingly annoying past time has been a thorn in my side for some time now. When we first got together he never played them. It was actually something that I really appreciated about him. I have many many friends who have wasted half of their young lives holed up in stinky dark rooms shooting each other int his make-believe world. I have seen it destroy every kind or relationship and I considered myself so lucky to not have that fantasy to compete with, then came Call of Duty and all that changed, ugh. Then, this last weekend he asked me to get him a blue tooth headset for his game. I love nothing more than to make my hubby happy so I happily got him one. Now he plays and talks to his friend from work and my sister's husband. Now not only am I annoyed because his head is stuck in this game but now I constantly think he is talking to me! Double Ugh. This too shall pass I suppose but until then I would like to hunt down whoever dreamed up video games and have a nice long chat...

Quiet

As I lay here is a hotel bed with my little monster sleeping next to me I can't help but appreciate the quiet. As a non wife and mother you don't really appreciate quiet for all its glory. It really is nice to just lay here now that the baby is asleep and Adam is out doing god knows what with Ryan to get ready for his wedding. I really should be sleeping but the quiet is just so nice...(as cooper rolls into me and kicks the computer)...

The Fly

A few days ago during an interview President Obama killed a fly that wouldn't leave him alone. PITA is now freaking out about it! Are you kidding me? Get over it! Don't get me wrong I am all for animal rights and completely against animal cruelty but seriously? A fly? This is why PITA is not taken as seriously as they could be. That is my 2 cents. I feel much better.
